Isabelle Huppert is one of the most important actresses in the global panorama of film and theater, and counts as one of the few who has won renowned acting awards in major festivals throughout the world. In Solomeo she will unveil a show which was specially created for the Teatro Cucinelli season.
The artist lends her voice to one of the founders of modern narrative: Guy de Maupassant, the author of such popular novels as Bel Ami and Mont Oriol, and also renowned and esteemed for his short stories. His stories stand out because of the skillful way he constructs plots, and offer a broad condemnation of bourgeois society, with its stupidity, greed, and cruelty; they reveal the writer’s great sensitivity to the harassments suffered by those who are weak and unable to defend themselves.
